Last week, Radix Program Manager, Justin V. Conroy presented to all engineering majors at the University of Houston on Personal Financial Plan.

Using his personal expertise, Conroy discussed life costs, how to plan to be a millionaire, and cleared up some misconception. He started his presentation mentioning: “Let’s remember what a millionaire is. A millionaire is someone who has a net worth of over $1 million, not someone who makes $1 million per year. To be one, you need to know net worth is your assets minus your liabilities”, remembered Conroy.

Conroy recommended better financial choices to encourage all future engineers to save some money throughout their life, such as a written budget. "Don't let your money tell you what to do, you tell your money what to do", said the Program Manager.

"Don't come out of school buying the most expensive houses, cars, clothes. Think about your future, think about your retirement. You want to maintain a lifestyle that you can afford so that you can have freedom later on in life to do what you want. To live paycheck to paycheck limits everything you do". Finalized the Manager.
