Radix Program Manager Speaks on Machine Learning at U.S. – Russia Chamber of Commerce Conference
The 3rd Technology and Innovation Conference’s topics included Digital Deluge, Big Data, Blockchain, and Robotics.
On November 1st, Radix Program Manager, Justin Conroy, along with Rich Frogge, Radix US President, were invited to attend and present on “Big Data” at the 3rd Technology and Innovation Conference hosted by the U.S. – Russia Chamber of Commerce.
Conroy spoke on “Common Misconceptions about Machine Learning”. Throughout his presentation, he cleared up some of the common myths and misconceptions surrounding this type of technology. The Program Manager has wide experience on converting Big Data into Business Intelligence for Radix costumers. According to Conroy, Machine Learning is a powerful tool to boost revenues when its algorithms and their implementation are used effectively and efficiently. “For a successful machine learning project, the right team must be in place, data must be clean and consistent, and project goals must be SMART - specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and timely”, says Conroy. He also emphasized the importance of knowledge exchange and industry clusters, "It was clear that the other speakers and panelists were experts in their field, and it was a joy to share knowdlege with them all."
The event was held at Petroleum Club of Houston. Professionals from the oil & gas, healthcare, aerospace, and automation industries were present.
